Capture Technologies, Inc. has been chosen by the Sacramento Municipal Utility District ( SMUD ) to provide a Video Security System for the new Cosumnes Power Plant.

The Cosumnes Power Plant is a 500MW, high-efficiency plant that uses both natural gas-fired combustion turbines and steam turbine technology in a combined cycle process.  This plant’s efficiency promises to be among the best in the state.

In today’s environment of high security, a quality digital CCTV system is a crucial component of an overall unified security system.  Capture Technologies’ sales and service team provided state of the art equipment from PELCO, the world leading manufacturer of CCTV systems, for this project.  This solution will provide SMUD with high quality video and the ability to monitor and record data from the entire system simultaneously.  The system will also allow for remote monitoring and easy future expansion.
